Can Chickens Lay "Gold Eggs"? Cloud-Clone Corp. Make it True!

CLOUD-CLONE CORP.(CCC)

Can chickens lay “gold eggs”? In fairy tales, the chickens can lay “golden eggs”. However, chicken antibodies production platform developed by Cloud-Clone Corp. makes the chicken lay eggs packed with antibodies, which are even more expensive than gold. Antibody is the commonly used tracer in life science research. Its price is 100-1000 time higher than that of gold. Compare with gold price-$44/g, the price of 0.1g antibody is $150 to $300. Usually only one immunized hen's egg contains 0.3g antibody. That is why the chicken raised by Cloud-Clone Corp. can lay “golden eggs”.

Rabbit is one of the most commonly used animal for antibody preparation. Although rabbits, same as humans, mice and rats, belong to mammalian, the species difference exists among them for most proteins. However, the proteins encoded by house-keep genes are similar for various mammals. It is difficult to produce high quality antibodies as the similarity will affect the immunization. In this case, poultry can be used to produce antibodies against conserved proteins because of significant species differences between poultries and mammals. And chicken, as a source of antibodies for research, is becoming the new favorite of CCC.

IgY is produced after the hens are immunized with antigen. Unlike IgM and IgA with large molecular weight, it can pass the yolk sac and concentrate in yolk. Thus the yolk contains high level IgY. Polyclonal IgY derived from chicken has been pushed into the market. According to the WB test (fig. 2), it can specifically recognize the target protein in tissue samples. To our delight, an immunized hen can not only produce high-quality antibodies, but also lay eggs containing IgY with high frequency. At present, the hens lay 22 eggs for average.

Egg yolk immunoglobulin (IgY), similar to IgG from mammals, is the main immunoglobulin of chicken. Common rabbit IgG derived from rabbit serums and IgY mainly exist in egg yolk. The difference in structure between them is shown in fig. 3. Moreover, SDS PAGE of IgY and IgG are done and the results can be found in fig. 4.

Additionally, the secondary antibody to IgY developed by Cloud-Clone Corp. are available right now. Welcome to have a try! You might like them.
