Acidic Nuclear Phosphoprotein 32 Family, Member E (ANP32E)
By searching a fetal brain cDNA library, Jiang et al. (2002) identified ANP32E. The deduced 266-amino acid protein has a predicted molecular mass of 30.4 kD and contains 4 tandem repeats of a 21- to 24-residue leucine-rich region. ANP32E shares 98% amino acid identity with mouse Anp32e and 71% identity with human ANP32A. RT-PCR analysis of 16 adult tissues showed expression in peripheral blood leukocytes, colon, small intestine, prostate, thymus, spleen, skeletal muscle, liver, and kidney.
Jiang et al. (2002) determined that the ANP32E gene contains 7 exons and spans 15.7 kb.By genomic sequence analysis, Jiang et al. (2002) mapped the ANP32E gene to chromosome 1q22.
