Actin Related Protein 5 (ACTR5)

ARP5; INO80M; INO80 Complex Subunit M; Sarcoma antigen NY-SAR-16

Actin Related Protein 5 (ACTR5)
ACTR5 belongs to the actin family. ARP5 subfamily.May be involved in transcription regulation via its interaction with the INO80 complex, a chromatin remodeling complex. Component of the chromatin remodeling INO80 complex, at least composed of ACTL6A, ACTR5, ACTR8, RVBL1, RVBL2, INO80, INO80B, INO80C, INO80D and INO80E. The mammalian Tip49a and Tip49b proteins belong to an evolutionarily conserved family of AAA+ ATPases. In Saccharomyces cerevisiae, orthologs of Tip49a and Tip49b, called Rvb1 and Rvb2, respectively, are subunits of two distinct ATP-dependent chromatin remodeling complexes, SWR1 and INO80. similar to the yeast INO80 complex, the hINO80 complex exhibits DNA- and nucleosome-activated ATPase activity and catalyzes ATP-dependent nucleosome sliding.
