Aminopeptidase Like Protein 1 (NPEPL1)

Aminopeptidase Like Protein 1 (NPEPL1)
About one-fourth of them (1,378) showed a clear pattern of splicing. The distribution of GC content of noncoding cDNAs was narrow and had a peak at approximately 42%, relatively low compared with that of protein-coding cDNAs.
NPEPL1is associated with the cardiovascular diseases, cancer, dermatological diseases, gastroenterological diseases, metabolic diseases, inflammation, hematological diseases, respiratory diseases, neurological diseases and urological diseases. Aminopeptidase is a zinc-dependent enzyme produced and secreted by glands of the small intestine. It helps the enzymatic digestion of proteins. Additional digestive enzymes produced by these glands include dipeptidases, maltase, sucrase, lactase, and enterokinase.
