The mRNAs appear to differ by truncation of the 5' end, truncation of the 3' end, presence or absence of 3 cassette exons, overlapping exons with different boundaries, alternative splicing or retention of one intron.C1orf124 has been proposed to participate in a process (DNA repair). Proteins are expected to have molecular function (DNA binding) and to localize in various compartments (nuclear speck, cytoplasm, nucleus). A putative protein interactor has been described (RNF11).
