TRM1 Like Protein (TRM1L)

C1orf25

TRM1 Like Protein (TRM1L)
The C10ORF25 gene encodes a deduced 733-amino acid protein that shares 88% sequence identity with the mouse protein. Northern blot analysis of mouse tissues detected ubiquitous expression of a 2.6-kb Trm1L transcript and additional mRNAs of different size in some organs, including brain, heart, muscle, lung, and testis.A LacZ marker in the disrupted mouse Trm1L gene showed expression in various neuronal structures during embryonic development, including spinal ganglia, trigeminal nerve and ganglion, olfactory and nasopharyngeal epithelium, and nuclei of the metencephalon, thalamus, and medulla oblongata. In adult animals, Trm1L expression was observed in the cortex and cerebellum and the patterns of expression changed dynamically during postnatal brain development.
