Centaurin Gamma 1 (CENTg1)

AGAP2; GGAP2; PIKE; Arf-GAP With GTPase,ANK Repeat And PH Domain-Containing 2; GTP-binding and GTPase-activating protein 2; Phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase enhancer

Centaurin Gamma 1 (CENTg1)
CENTg1 contains 836 amino acids. Northern blot analysis detected highest expression in brain, intermediate expression in skeletal muscle, spleen, thymus, and peripheral blood leukocytes, and weak expression in lung, liver, and small intestine. No expression was detected in kidney, pancreas, prostate, testis, ovary, and colon.
The 753-amino acid nuclear GTPase shares sequence homology with the GTP-binding domains of centaurin gamma-A, RAB7, and RRAS. Pike has 3 proline-rich domains (PRDs) in the N terminus, and in the C terminus, a Ras-like domain and a pleckstrin homology (PH) domain. Amino acid residues 387 to 752 of PIKE are virtually identical to residues 56 to 420 of the human cDNA KIAA0167.
