Cyclin M4 (CNNM4)

ACDP4; Metal transporter CNNM4; Ancient conserved domain-containing protein 4

Cyclin M4 (CNNM4)
Acdp4 contains 4 transmembrane domains, 2 CBS domains, a DUF21 domain, and a cNMP-binding domain. It also has a leucine zipper and an amidation site. Northern blot analysis of mouse tissues detected highest Acdp4 expression in kidney, small intestine, and testis, with lower expression in all other tissues examined.
The ACDP4 gene, designated CNNM4 by the HUGO Nomenclature Committee, encodes a deduced 775-amino acid protein. Northern blot analysis revealed ubiquitous expression of CNNM4. Immunofluorescence studies showed that all 4 CNMM proteins are predominantly localized in the nucleus. CNNM4 contains 4 N-terminal transmembrane domains as well as a DUF21 domain.
