DENN/MADD Domain Containing Protein 1B (DENND1B)
Using molecular profiling to identify genes upregulated in human memory T cells compared with naive T cells, Willinger et al. (2005) identified DENND1B, which they called FAM31B. Sleiman et al. (2010) found that DENND1B is expressed at high levels in dendritic and natural killer cells and at lower levels in other myeloid lineage cells and in pituitary and tonsil. The DENND1B gene maps to chromosome 1q31.3.
Willinger et al. (2005) found that the expression of FAM31B was significantly upregulated in several human memory T cell subsets compared with naive T cells.Sleiman et al. (2010) stated that DENND1B modulates the type 1 helper T-cell (Th1)-Th2 cytokine cascade and other inflammatory signaling pathways through repression of TNFR1 (TNFRSF1A) signaling.
