F-Box And Leucine Rich Repeat Protein 14 (FBXL14)

Fbl14; F-box and leucine-rich repeat protein 14

F-Box And Leucine Rich Repeat Protein 14 (FBXL14)
Members of the F-box protein family, such as FBXL14, are characterized by an approximately 40-amino acid F-box motif. SCF complexes, formed by SKP1 , cullin , and F-box proteins, act as protein-ubiquitin ligases. F-box proteins interact with SKP1 through the F box, and they interact with ubiquitination targets through other protein interaction domains . Jin et al. (2004) reported that the human FBXL14 protein contains an N-terminal F box, followed by a tandem array of 8 leucine-rich repeats, a short spacer, and a second tandem array of 3 leucine-rich repeats.
Jin et al. (2004) stated that the FBXL14 gene maps to chromosome 12p13.33 and the mouse Fbxl14 gene maps to chromosome 6F1.
