F-Box And Leucine Rich Repeat Protein 17 (FBXL17)

FBXO13; Fbx13; Fbl17; F-Box Only Protein 13

F-Box And Leucine Rich Repeat Protein 17 (FBXL17)
Members of the F-box protein family, such as FBXL17, are characterized by an approximately 40-amino acid F-box motif. SCF complexes, formed by SKP1, cullin, and F-box proteins, act as protein-ubiquitin ligases. F-box proteins interact with SKP1 through the F box, and they interact with ubiquitination targets through other protein interaction domains.
Jin et al. (2004) reported that the human FBXL17 protein contains an N-terminal F box, followed by 3 widely spaced leucine-rich repeats.
Jin et al. (2004) stated that the FBXL17 gene maps to chromosome 5q21.3 and the mouse Fbxl17 gene maps to chromosome 17E1.1.
