F-Box And Leucine Rich Repeat Protein 19 (FBXL19)

Members of the F-box protein family, such as FBXL19, are characterized by an approximately 40-amino acid F-box motif. SCF complexes, formed by SKP1, cullin , and F-box proteins, act as protein-ubiquitin ligases. F-box proteins interact with SKP1 through the F box, and they interact with ubiquitination targets through other protein interaction domains .

Jin et al. (2004) reported that the FBXL19 protein contains an N-terminal zinc finger, followed by a PHD domain, a central F box, and 7 C-terminal leucine-rich repeats.Jin et al. (2004) stated that the FBXL19 gene maps to chromosome 16p11.2 and the mouse Fbxl19 gene maps to chromosome 7F3.
