FAM32A is expressed at very high level, 4.4 times the average gene in this release. FAM32A contains 7 different gt-ag introns. Transcription produces 7 alternatively spliced mRNAs. There are 3 non overlapping alternative last exons and 7 validated alternative polyadenylation sites. The mRNAs appear to differ by truncation of the 3' end, presence or absence of 2 cassette exons, alternative splicing or retention of 2 introns. 270 bp of this gene are antisense to spliced gene moywy, raising the possibility of regulated alternate expression.

MYC expression was normalized to that of two housekeeping genes: β-actin and FAM32A, and the geometric mean of these taken as an average relative MYC expression.
