G Protein Coupled Receptor 65 (GPR65)

The full-length sequence predicts a 337-amino acid protein with a molecular mass of 39.3 kD. The TDAG8 protein sequence shows 90% similarity and 81% identity with its mouse homolog, particularly in the regions of the 7 transmembrane domains. TDAG8 has 3 potential N-linked glycosylation sites.

TDAG8 is expressed predominantly in lymphoid tissues. Two major transcripts of 4.5 kb and 1.8 kb are found in peripheral blood leukocytes, where the 1.8-kb transcript is predominant. The 1.8-kb transcript is expressed abundantly in the spleen and less abundantly in the lymph node, thymus, lung, and small intestine. Only marginal expression is seen in the appendix, bone marrow, and fetal liver.
