Immunoglobulin Superfamily, Member 11 (IGSF11)
IGSF11 is an immunoglobulin (Ig) superfamily member that is preferentially expressed in brain and testis. It shares significant homology with coxsackievirus and adenovirus receptor (CXADR) and endothelial cell-selective adhesion molecule (ESAM).The predicted 431-amino acid type I transmembrane protein is 88% identical to the mouse protein and shares homology with the IGSF members CXADR and ESAM.
IGSF11 has a 23-residue signal peptide, 3 potential extracellular N-linked glycosylation sites, an extracellular V-type Ig-like domain, an extracellular C2-type Ig-like domain, and a 170-residue cytoplasmic tail with a C-terminal PDZ-interacting motif. Each of the Ig-like domains contains 2 cysteines.
