Integrator Complex Subunit 2 (INTS2)

INT2

Integrator Complex Subunit 2 (INTS2)
INTS2 is a subunit of the Integrator complex, which associates with the C-terminal domain of RNA polymerase II large subunit (POLR2A) and mediates 3-prime end processing of small nuclear RNAs U1 (RNU1) and U2 (RNU2). The predicted protein has 1,209 amino acids, and the 5-prime and 3-prime untranslated regions contain SINEs, including Alu and MIR sequences.
RT-PCR ELISA detected moderate expression in whole brain, testis, and ovary, low expression in lung and liver, and no expression in heart, pancreas, kidney, and spleen. Caudate nucleus and corpus callosum showed moderate to low expression, with little to no expression in other brain regions examined.
