Integrator Complex Subunit 6 (INTS6)
INTS6 is a subunit of the Integrator complex, which contains at least 12 subunits. The Integrator complex associates with the C-terminal domain of RNA polymerase II large subunit (POLR2A) and mediates 3-prime end processing of small nuclear RNAs U1 (RNU1) and U2 (RNU2) . The DICE1 gene showed loss or downregulation of expression in most nonsmall cell lung carcinomas tested. The DICE1 gene encodes a 100-kD protein that is highly conserved in evolution, indicating an important cellular function. The predicted protein has 887 amino acids and shares 92.9% identity with the C-terminal half of the mouse EGF-repeat transmembrane protein DBI1. Northern blot analysis detected a major 4.4- and a minor 6.9-kb DICE1 transcript in a wide variety of fetal and adult tissues.
