Combined all-trans-retinoic acid (ATRA) and anthracycline chemotherapy results in long-term survival and potential cure in nearly 70% of patients with acute promyelocytic leukemia (APL).
IFIT4 has 1 potential glycosylation site, 1 glycosaminoglycan attachment site, and 14 potential phosphorylation sites. Northern blot analysis revealed expression of a 2.8- to 2.9-kb transcript within a few hours in IFNA-treated cells and within 12 to 24 hours in ATRA-treated cells. IFIT4 expression was low in all normal tissues tested. Indirect immunofluorescence staining showed a diffuse distribution pattern in the cytoplasm, with clustering in the perinuclear region.
