Interleukin 11 Receptor Beta (IL11Rb)

IL11Ra2; Interleukin 11 Receptor Alpha 2

Interleukin 11 Receptor Beta (IL11Rb)
The interleukin 11 receptor is a type I cytokine receptor, binding interleukin 11. It is a heterodimer composed of an interleukin 11 receptor alpha subunit and an incompletely characterized beta subunit. IL11RB were not analyzed because their sequence and chromosomal locations are not present in public databases.Belongs to the type I cytokine receptor family. Type 3 subfamily. Contains 2 fibronectin type-III domains. Contains 1 Ig-like C2-type (immunoglobulin-like) domain. Expression restricted to testis, lymph node and thymus. Highest level in testis. Receptor for interleukin-11. The receptor systems for IL6, LIF, OSM, CNTF, IL11 and CT1 can utilize IL6ST for initiating signal transmission. The IL11/IL11RA/IL6ST complex may be involved in the control of proliferation and/or differentiation of skeletogenic progenitor or other mesenchymal cells.
