Leucine Rich Repeat And Fibronectin Type III Domain Containing Protein 2 (LRFN2)
In specific brain regions tested, LRFN2 showed moderate expression in amygdala, corpus callosum, cerebellum, caudate nucleus, hippocampus, substantia nigra, subthalamic nucleus, thalamus, and fetal brain.
The deduced 788-amino acid mouse protein has a predicted signal peptide, a leucine-rich N-terminal domain, 6 leucine-rich repeat domains, a leucine-rich C-terminal domain, Ig C2-like domain (IgC2), a fibronectin type III domain, transmembrane region, and an ESTV PDZ-binding motif. The SALM family members share similarity with proteins of the Slit family, the Amigo family (AMIGO1), and the Nogo66 receptor (RTN4R). Lrfn2 localized to membrane fractions and to postsynaptic density fractions.
