Leucine Rich Repeat Containing Protein 16B (LRRC16B)

LRRC16B Belongs to the CARMIL family.LRRC16B was highly expressed in fetal brain and lung tissue. It was also expressed in fetal spinal cord, kidney, stomach, liver and colon tissue. Skeletal muscle and heart tissue showed the lowest expression. Most adult tissue samples also showed very low expression of LRRC16B . Adult brain tissue had a LRRC16B/GAPDH ratio of 5.94 × 10⁻⁷, which was not much higher than that for fetal liver tissue.The LRRC16B gene was predicted to produce a 4.7-kb mRNA and encode a 1372-aa protein with a predicted molecular weight of 150 kDa. The full-length LRRC16B was fused to enhanced green fluorescent protein (EGFP) and myc tag, cloned into pMSCVpuro vectors and expressed in human embryonic kidney 293T and baby hamster kidney (BHK) cells as stable pools.
