Phytanoyl Coenzyme A-2-Hydroxylase Interacting Protein Like Protein (PHYHIPL)

Phytanoyl Coenzyme A-2-Hydroxylase Interacting Protein Like Protein (PHYHIPL)
PHYHIPL, Belongs to the PHYHIP family. Contains 1 fibronectin type-III domain.May play a role in the development of the central system.
Northern blot analysis of mouse tissues showed variable expression of Phyhip during development. At embryonic day 18, Phyhip was expressed at a high level in skin and at low levels in all other tissues examined. At neonatal day 1, higher levels were detected in both brain and skin, and adult animals expressed Phyhip only in brain. In situ hybridization of rat brain showed expression localized to the supragranular layer in the cerebral cortex, dentate gyrus, hippocampus, Purkinje cell layer, and several central nuclei.
