SPRY Domain Containing Protein 5 (SPRYD5)

TRIM51; Tripartite Motif-Containing 51

SPRY Domain Containing Protein 5 (SPRYD5)
SPRYD5 encodes a SPRY domain containing protein, Contains 1 B30.2/SPRY domain. The SPRY domain was originally discovered as a sequence-repeat in the dual-specificity kinase splA of Dictyostelium and rabbit ryanodine receptor. The 140 amino acid residue domain adopts a novel fold consisting of a β-sandwich structure formed by two four-stranded antiparallel β-sheets with a unique topology.
In combination with the B30.2 domain, these two domains adopt an immunoglobulin-like fold.Genes belonging to the core LL module (HDC, FCER1A, GATA2, CPA3, MS4A2, SPRYD5, and SLC45A3) were not only strongly associated with lipoprotein and lipid levels but were also among the strongest signals for glycoproteins, isoleucine, and 3-hydroxybutyrate.
