T Complex Protein 11 Like Protein 1 (TCP11L1)

T Complex Protein 11 Like Protein 1 (TCP11L1)
The pEGFP-mTcp11L1 plasmid encoding pEGFP-mTcp11L1 fusion protein was constructed by placing the mTcp11L1 coding region into pEGFP-N1 vector and transferred into HEK293 cells. TCP11L1 protein only existed in cytoplasm. Tcp11L1 was expressed extensively. Bioinformatic analysis suggested the TCP11L1 protein shared a same domain with TCP11 protein. The fact that mouse Tcp11L1 and Tcp11 genes had the same subcellular localization and structure domain suggested that the function of the two genes might be similar. However, as Tcp11 gene was only expressed in elongating spermatid, Tcp11L1 was expressed in variant tissues, indicating that besides in testis, Tcp11L1 played an important role in other tissues.
