Tenascin M2 (TENM2)

ODZ2; TNM2; Teneurin 2; Odz,Odd Oz/Ten-m Homolog 2; Teneurin transmembrane protein 2

Tenascin M2 (TENM2)
ODZ2 shares homology with mouse Doc4 (ODZ4), a protein involved in cell signaling. RT-PCR ELISA detected high expression in heart and intermediate expression in brain, liver, kidney, fetal brain, and all specific brain regions examined. Low expression was detected in lung and testis, and no expression was detected in skeletal muscle, pancreas, spleen, ovary, and fetal liver.
The deduced 2,764-amino acid protein contains an N-terminal cytosolic domain, followed by a transmembrane domain, a linker region, 8 EGF-like repeats, and a C-terminal domain. It has several intracellular tyrosine residues and extracellular N-glycosylation sites. The linker domain contains dibasic residues that may serve as proteolytic processing sites.
