STS-1; TULA-2; Cbl-interacting protein p70; Suppressor of T-cell receptor signaling 1; T-cell ubiquitin ligand 2; Tyrosine-protein phosphatase STS1/TULA2

Ubiquitin Associated And SH3 Domain Containing Protein B (UBASH3B)
UBASH3B contains a ubiquitin associated domain at the N-terminus, an SH3 domain, and a C-terminal domain with similarities to the catalytic motif of phosphoglycerate mutase. The encoded protein was found to inhibit endocytosis of epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) and platelet-derived growth factor receptor. The predicted 650-amino acid protein contains SH3 and ubiquitin-associated (UBA) motifs and belongs to the phosphoglycerate mutase family . RT-PCR ELISA detected moderate expression in spleen, spinal cord, and adult and fetal liver. Low expression was detected in testis, adult and fetal brain, lung, skeletal muscle, and kidney, and little to no expression was detected in heart, pancreas, and ovary. Expression was moderate in most specific brain regions examined, with highest levels in cerebellum and substantia nigra.
