WD Repeat Containing Domain Protein 24 (WDR24)
WD40 family includes a sort of proteins with conserved structures and complicated functions. Lots of studies indicated that members of WD40 family affected the function of cells on life activity through regulating many signal pathways such as MAPK. In order to research novel genes involved on life activity of cells, a novel human gene WDR24 was amplified and identified in the paper by means of PCR based on homologous gene cloning principle. The whole length of the cDNA is 3169 bp, with a 2373 bp Open Reading Frame (ORF)encoding a polypeptide containing 790 amino acids. WDR24,conserverd in vertebrate, possesses of 6 WD40-repeat and a D-domain docking ERK. RT-PCR analysis revealed that the gene is expressed in all embryonic tissues detected.
