Zinc Finger Protein 276 (ZNF276)

ZNF477; ZFP276

Zinc Finger Protein 276 (ZNF276)
The deduced 372-amino acid protein contains an N-terminal proline repeat sequence and 5 characteristic C-terminal C2H2 zinc finger domains. Northern blot analysis of several mouse tissues detected transcripts of 4.3 and 3.1 kb in all adult tissues examined, with highest levels in kidney, liver, lung, and spleen. Both transcripts were expressed at low levels in all stages of mouse embryonic development examined.
The 3-prime UTR of Zfp276 overlaps the last 4 exons of the Fanca gene in a tail-to-tail manner. By genomic sequence analysis, Wong et al. (2000) mapped the human ZFP276 gene to chromosome 16q24. Like the mouse genes, the human ZFP276 and FANCA genes overlap in a tail-to-tail manner.
