Biopyrrin (BPn)
Bilirubin Oxidative Metabolites; Biopyrrins
Urinary Biopyrrin, an End-Product of Heme Degradation Pathway, as a Novel Clinical Marker in the Patients with Acute Myocardial Infarction . During periods of psychological stress, excess amounts of free radicals are produced, and they play an important role in the pathophysiological process. biopyrrins are generated from bilirubin as a result of this scavenging action against free radicals.
Bilirubin oxidative metabolites(Biopyrrin) is a metabolite of bilirubin-oxidized by active oxygen, and its amount excreted in urine is thought to reflect the level of oxidative stress.Urinary biopyrrin excretions as a marker of oxidative stress in one-day general checkup. Elevation of bilirubin oxidative metabolites, biopyrrin, is a novel marker in the patients with acute myocardial infarction.the urinary biopyrrin level is a possible indicator that can be useful in the continuous monitoring of psychotic states in clinical practice.
