Interleukin 31 Receptor A (IL31RA)
IL31RA is related to gp130, the common receptor subunit for IL6-type cytokines. Expression of IL31RA and OSMR mRNA is induced in activated monocytes, and both mRNAs are constitutively expressed in epithelial cells. The extracellular region of GLMR has a 19-residue signal peptide, followed by a cytokine receptor homology domain, which contains 2 pairs of conserved cysteines and a WSDWS signature motif, and 3 modules with homology to fibronectin type III domains. The intracellular region of GLMR is connected to a single transmembrane domain and contains a box-1 motif, which is probably involved in association with JAK family tyrosine kinases, and 4 tyrosine residues that may serve as docking sites for molecules with SH2 domains.
