MDCK Kidney Cells (MDCK)
NBL-2

MDCK cell line: The MDCK cell line, also known as Madin-Darby canine kidney cells, is a continuous epithelial cell line derived from the kidney of a female cocker spaniel. MDCK cells are extensively utilized in cell biology and virology research as a model for studying epithelial cell polarity, barrier function, and viral infections. These cells have been instrumental in investigating molecular mechanisms of viral entry, replication, and transmission, as well as in developing vaccines and antiviral therapies targeting respiratory and gastrointestinal pathogens.
