SAP Domain Containing Ribonucleoprotein (SARNP)

CIP29; HCC1; THO1; Cytokine Induced Protein 29 kDa; Hepatocellular Carcinoma 1; Nuclear protein Hcc-1; Proliferation-associated cytokine-inducible protein CIP29

SAP Domain Containing Ribonucleoprotein (SARNP)
SARNP contains an N-terminal SAP DNA-binding motif, 2 nuclear localization signals, 3 potential N-glycosylation sites, and 9 potential phosphorylation sites. Northern blot analysis detected CIP29 expression in most adult tissues examined. Expression was higher in fetal brain, kidney, liver, heart, and thymus compared with adult tissues.
CIP29 expression was elevated in all solid tumors examined and was higher in myeloid leukemia and lymphoma cell lines than in normal adult bone marrow and lymph node.CIP29 expression was upregulated by erythropoietin (EPO) in erythroleukemic UT7/Epo cells and by thrombopoietin (THPO), FLT3 ligand (FLT3LG), and stem cell factor (KITLG) in primary human CD34-positive cells.
