Tendon Stem Cells ( TDSC)

Tendon Stem Cells (TDSC) are one of stem cells characterized by greater tenogenesis, and proliferation capacity. Animal studies shows that TDSC play an important role in the promotion of tendon and tendon-bone junction repair. As stem cells, TDSCs are self-renewing and can differentiate into tenocytes and other types of cells (osteocytes, chondrocytes, and adipocytes) under different conditions. Some TDSC are spindle-shaped with an appearance of fibroblasts, while others are like enlarged triangles.
